“Tell me something I don’t already know” is the rightful expectation of any client and the guiding principle of our work. To achieve that, we infuse creativity into every aspect of our research. Four basic tenets shape our approach:
Research should make you uneasy, because you don’t know what you’re going to find. We push our clients to go beyond conventions. Redefine your competitive set. Ask your audience to create something for you. Be more transparent than you think you should be. The findings might surprise you.
Corporate conference rooms filled with reward-seekers seldom deliver true insights. Because that’s not how people live. We recruit the right people and put them in unique environments to deliver authentic solutions. And, of course, ask the right questions.
At Gundell & Company, we don’t just use innovative practices. We invent them. From our Luxury Panel â an exclusive group of high-end clients based in NY and LA, to our Push-Pin Board, which gives you a living breathing world of results, we’re always looking for new ways to deliver insights.
They’re road maps. Our goal is not only to give you information, but to always apply our years of marketing expertise to turn those findings into an actionable way forward. A report is worthless if it doesn’t actively help you meet your business challenges.
Work with someone who has worked with the best. We’ve partnered with some of the world’s best brands to solve some of their biggest problems — from blue chips to start-ups in virtually every vertical. Project details we can’t share. Quotes we can.

As President at Weiss, Whitten, Stagliano, Jane developed her expertise in premium goods and a reputation for thought leadership in the luxury market.

Jill is a marketing and business development pro who honed her skills launching O, The Oprah Magazine. She spent fifteen years at O as the SVP, Publisher, Chief Revenue Officer of the publication. While there, she fell in love with the power of research, commissioning several comprehensive research studies to help marketers including L’Oreal, Tiffany, Macy’s, General Motors, Estee Lauder and Chase, better understand women….what motivates them and how to speak to them.
Jill has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA in Marketing. She spent her early career putting both to work as a Marketing Manager in the financial services industry. Given her diverse background, Jill takes a multi-disciplinary approach to her work, blending analytical and strategic thinking with gut instincts.
In her off-hours, Jill spends as much time as possible on the tennis court working on her lefty serve and competing in USTA League tennis.
